چکیده
Staphylococcus aureus is the most common mastitis-related pathogen in dairy cattle, goats, and sheep worldwide. However, population structure genomic characteristics of mastitis-associated S. small ruminants are limited. Furthermore, genotypic phenotypic involved pathogenicity have been thoroughly defined, yet their association with severity mastitis not fully established. Here, we performed genotyping by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) spa analyses to assess genetic diversity relatedness 162 strains recovered from clinical (CM) subclinical (SCM) cases sheep, bovines. PFGE analysis revealed 108 distinguishable pulsotypes 3 main clusters that comprised isolates three host species, while according typing, 32 different types were identified. Genotypic a spreading genetically related or indistinguishable among ovine, caprine, bovine farms distant geographical regions. In total, 28 staphylococcal enterotoxin (SE) gene profiles observed, revealing diverse range SE genes isolates. By evaluating antimicrobial resistance, found low resistance all ruminant We also multiple correspondence analysis, which indicated presence sec gene, biofilm production, high autoaggregation ability associated CM cases.

Phenotypic characteristics of Staphylococcus aureus isolated from bovine mastitis in Israeli dairy herds.
A study of the characterization of the phenotypic patterns of Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated from bovine subclinical mastitis in Israeli dairy herds and their correlation with the severity of the disease was undertaken. A total of 400 chronically S. aureus-infected Israeli-Holstein cows, from 15 dairy herds were included in this study. Based on the results of the biochemical reactions, ...
متن کاملPhenotypic and Genotypic Characteristics of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Isolated from Dairy and Meat Products in Iran
Background: Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) plays an important role in gastrointestinal diseases. The goal of this research was to determine phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of MRSA isolated from dairy and meat products in Iran. Methods: Ninety-three S. aureus isolates were prepared which had been obtained in our previous study. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing w...
متن کاملGenotypic and phenotypic characterization of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolated from milk of bovine mastitis.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the presence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) among a (S. aureus) collection (n = 430) isolated from milk of cows suffering from mastitis in Belgium and to compare their genotypic as well as phenotypic characteristics. Pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) and PCR-based typing techniques (MLST, spa, SCCmec, and agr typing) have been a...
متن کاملPhenotypic and genotypic characterization of Streptococcus uberis isolated from bovine subclinical mastitis in Argentinean dairy farms.
The aim of this study was to investigate the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of Streptococcus uberis isolated from subclinical mastitis (SCM) cases, and to examine the possible association between both characteristics. A total of 32 S. uberis were isolated from 772 quarter milk samples (SCM > 250,000 cells/ml) collected from 195 cows selected randomly from 18 dairy farms located in Arg...
متن کاملVaccination against Staphylococcus aureus mastitis in two Swedish dairy herds
BACKGROUND Staphylococcus aureus is a common udder pathogen in dairy cows, and may cause severe mastitis problems in some herds. In herds where normal control measures are not successful, vaccination might be an additional tool to use if sufficiently efficient. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy of a commercially available vaccine (Startvac(®), Hipra, Spain) in two commer...
