Standard Precautions for COVID-19: An Insight into the Awareness of Post Graduate Trainee Doctors Working At a Tertiary Level Dedicated COVID Hospital

Background: The rapid and extensive spread of the COVID-19 pandemic is a major concern for healthcare profession. Standard Precautions (SP) are key to contain spread. Adherence existing SP mostly user dependent it affected by their awareness. Post Graduate (PG) trainee doctors immediate caregivers in Dedicated COVID Hospital. objective was assess awareness , identify gaps knowledge help future capacity building.
 Methodology: cross sectional study conducted June 2020 at RNT Medical College, Udaipur, Rajasthan on 115 PG trainees from all streams. questionnaire adapted standard Outbreak Guidelines MoHFW India Centre Disease Prevention Control (CDC) Descriptive statistics were performed based percentage correct answers.
 Results: Majority (54.8%) had only average . 62.6% displayed hand hygiene while much less respiratory (12.2%),PPE donning16(13.9%)and doffing16(13.9%) other elements SP.
 Conclusions: Average lesser among matter great concern, This indicates need frequent going trainings be incorporated curriculum training program.
