Stable chimeras of non-locally coupled Kuramoto–Sakaguchi oscillators in a finite array

We consider chimera states of coupled identical phase oscillators where some are synchronized (have the same phase) while others desynchronized. Chimera non-locally Kuramoto–Sakaguchi in arrays finite size known to be chaotic transients; after a transient time, all synchronized, with time increasing exponentially number oscillators. In this work, we small array six and modify range lag parameter destabilize their complete synchronization. Under these circumstances, observe state spontaneously formed by partition into two independently synchronizable clusters both stable unstable synchronous states. state, trajectory differences desynchronized relative cluster is periodic orbit, as result, but not long-lived transient. random initial conditions restricted clarify why observable using Floquet theory for orbit stability.
