Two-wavelet constants for square integrable representations of G/H

In this paper we introduce two-wavelet constants for square integrable representations of homogeneous spaces. We establish the orthogonality relations fo...

On a class of inhomogeneous extensions for integrable evolution systems

In the present paper we prove the integrability (in the sense of existence of formal symmetry of infinite rank) for a class of block-triangular inhomogeneous extensions of (1+1)-dimensional integrable evolution systems. An important consequence of this result is the existence of formal symmetry of infinite rank for “almost integrable” systems, recently discovered by Sanders and van der Kamp.

Fat, Square and Thin Matrices - Number of Solutions to Systems of Linear Equations

When a system of equations Ax = b has at least one solution, we say that the system is consistent, otherwise inconsistent. We are concerned with determining when a system of equations is consistent and studying the number of solutions of a system of equations. After having learned the theory of linear algebra, one can observe that the existence (of at least one) and the uniqueness of solutions ...

Complexiton solutions to integrable equations

Complexiton solutions (or complexitons for short) are exact solutions newly introduced to integrable equations. Starting with the solution classification for a linear differential equation, the Korteweg-de Vries equation and the Toda lattice equation are considered as examples to exhibit complexiton structures of nonlinear integrable equations. The crucial step in the solution process is to app...

Wronskian Solutions to Integrable Equations

Wronskian determinants are used to construct exact solution to integrable equations. The crucial steps are to apply Hirota’s bilinear forms and explore linear conditions to guarantee the Plücker relations. Upon solving the linear conditions, the resultingWronskian formulations bring solution formulas, which can yield solitons, negatons, positions and complexitons. The solution process is illust...
