چکیده

VO2 is a well-known thermochromic material that can be potentially applied as coating on “smart” glazing systems. In this work films, were grown by the rf sputtering technique two different types of commercial glass substrates, namely fused silica and float glass, at low deposition temperature 300 °C. The optimum conditions, in order to succeed monoclinic phase VO2(M), investigated found subject substrate thickness. It was observed substrate, only films with thicknesses below 50 nm 3% O2 plasma exhibited behavior, displaying critical transition TC = 46.1 °C, width transmittance hysteresis loop 2000 ?TC 9.1 IR-switching ?TrIR 14.6%, integrated solar modulation ?Trsol 1.3% luminous 25 °C equal Trlum 36.6%. contrast, deposited demonstrated phase, for all thicknesses, when 1% plasma. These characterized much lower TC(<40 °C) ?TC<10 along significant thickness variations ?TrIR, parameters. Finally, rapid thermal annealing (RTA) used enhance performance greater than nm. differences might attributed composition each kind well diffusion phenomena between film substrate.

Residual Stress in Cu Sputtered Films on Glass Substrates at Different Substrate Temperatures

Copper films of 300 nm thickness deposited by planar magnetron sputtering on glass substrates, for substrate temperatures between 300 and 500 K, and deposition rate of 10 ?s?1. Microstructure of these films was obtained by X-ray diffraction, while the texture mode of diffractometer was used for stress measurement by the sin2? technique. The components of the stress tensor are obtained using mea...

Thick Sputtered Tantalum Coatings for High-Temperature Energy Conversion Applications

Thick sputtered tantalum (Ta) coatings on Inconel were investigated as a potential replacement for bulk refractory metal substrates used for high-temperature emitters and absorbers in thermophotovoltaic energy conversion applications. In these applications, high-temperature stability and high reflectance of the surface in the infrared wavelength range are critical in order to sustain operationa...

Glass-(nAg, nCu) Biocide Coatings on Ceramic Oxide Substrates

The present work was focused on obtaining biocide coatings constituted by a glassy soda-lime matrix containing silver or copper nanoparticles on ceramic (alumina and zirconia based) substrates. Both glassy coatings showed a high biocide activity against Gram-, Gram+ bacteria and yeast, reducing cell numbers more than three logarithms. Silver nanoparticles had a significantly higher biocide acti...

Oxide coatings on flexible substrates for electrochromic applications

One of the most studied classes of materials in the modern microelectronic devices are the metal oxides. There are different metal oxide films, such as electrodes, charge injecting and electrochromic coatings for displays or “smart” windows applications. This paper aims to describe the recent achievements for oxide coating deposition for flexible electrochromic displays. Although many depositio...

Potential of Magnetron Sputtered Magnesium Fluoride Containing Thin Films for the Multilayer Design of Coloured Coatings for Solar Collector Glazing

In this work, the potential of magnetron sputtered magnesium uoride (MgF2) and MgF2 containing composite coatings for coloured solar collector glazing is investigated. Coloured thinlm interference coatings on the reverse side of the collector cover glass give solar collectors an aesthetic appearance, which facilitates their integration into the building’s envelope. Hereby, integration means tha...
