Radiation Damage Studies of Silicon Microstrip Sensors
Various types of large area silicon microstrip detectors were fabricated for development of radiation-tolerant detectors operational in the LHC ATLAS SCT. The detectors were irradiated with 12-GeV protons at KEK to fluences of 1.7×10 and 4.2×10 protons/cm. Irradiated samples include n-on-n detectors with 4 kΩ cm bulk resistivity and p-on-n detectors with 1 kΩ cm and 4 kΩ cm bulk resistivities. ...
متن کاملSpurious Hyperleukocytosis
Hyperleukocytosis is an oncological emergency but is extremely rare in non-malignant conditions. Nucleated RBCs give rise to spuriously high total leucocyte count and cause clinical dilemma. Thalassemia major patients are known to have leucocytosis even after correction for nucleated RBCs. We report a case of undiagnosed Thalassemia major in a 4 month old infant with total leucocyte count highe...
متن کاملNovel Microstrip Bandpass Filters Using Direct-coupled Triangular Stepped-impeda- Nce Resonators for Spurious Suppression
This paper presents a novel spurious suppressed bandpass filter designed with triangular stepped-impedance resonators. The proposed resonators are folded for a triangular schematic, which creates two transmission zeros. By varying the line width of resonators, one of the zeros is tuned to suppress the first and second spurious responses, and the other is used to improve skirt selectivity. The c...
متن کاملMicrostrip Bandpass Filters Using End- Coupled Asymmetrical Step-impedance Resonators for Wide-spurious Response
This paper proposes asymmetrical step-impedance resonators bandpass filters (ASIRs) for suppressing a wide stopband, ensuing in size reduction and ease of fabrication. The filters have been designed at the operating frequency around 2.0 GHz using halfand quarter-wavelength asymmetrical step-impedance resonators. The concept of existent oddand even-mode characteristics is used to approve the pro...
متن کاملSpurious Responses Suppression of Parallel Coupled-Lines Microstrip Bandpass Filters: Comparison and Improvements of Planar Approaches
In this paper, three methods to reject the first spurious harmonic in parallel-coupled microstrip filters are investigated. The authors proposed an extension of these approaches to also suppress the second unwanted passbands while keeping the initial passband practically unchanged. Then, two of these techniques are combined to achieve a wider upper stopband. Indeed, the sinusoidal perturbation ...
