Speculative Fiction, Sociology, and Surveillance Studies: Towards a Methodology of the Surveillance Imaginary

Utopian theorists often speak about the merits of reading utopian fiction in order to reimagine and rebuild a better world, but dystopian is overlooked. This is, my view, misguided because fiction, like diagnoses issues with present, inspires activism resistance, and, twenty-first century, presents ideas how effect positive change through collective activism.
