The prevalence of migraine is higher in women than men, with female to male ratio 3:1 reproductive age. It believed that sex hormones play significant role pathogenesis. Therefore, treatment has some specificities due hormonal differences between sexes and fluctuations during menstrual cycle, pregnancy, lactation perimenopause. Treatment pregnancy depends on safety profile the therapy. NSAID-s like naproxen ibuprofen are being considered safe second trimester, but first third trimester they may have adverse effects foetus. CGRP antagonists should be avoided pregnancy. Acetaminophen, ibuprofen, diclofenac acute therapy breastfeeding for preventive propranolol used as line Women severe related without aura treated therapy, whereas it among patients increased risk stroke.
