چکیده

In recent years, a change in the spatiotemporal profile of leafhopper populations has been observed, resulting persistent infestations cotton parcels throughout crop cycle. The need to investigate various causes this led present study, which aimed at identifying leafhoppers found on Ivorian basin. Collections were made 12 localities identification these samples revealed existence least three species leafhoppers. These are Jacobiasca lybica (Bergevin & Zanon, 1922), Empoasca Papayae (Oman, 1937) and Jacobiella fascialis (Dworakowska, 1972). first two mentioned not previously known Côte d'Ivoire. cohabit same parcels, with predominance J. The chemical composition of standard cotton dust.

Cotton dust samples from Cotton Incorporated were investigated by X-ray fluorescence and proximate analysis methods. These dust samples are known as "standard cotton dust" and have been used by many researchers investigating the causative agent(s) and physiological mechanisms of byssinosis. Silicon, calcium, potassium, and aluminum were present in relatively high concentrations (1-4%) in the du...

Amino Acid composition of germinating cotton seeds.

Total and free amino acid composition of germinating cotton seeds (Gossypium hirsutum L.) was determined. The germinating seeds were separated into cotyledon and developing axis fractions daily and the composition of each tissue was summed to get the whole seed composition. By separating the developing seeds into these two tissue fractions, and determining total and free amino acids, a balance ...
