چکیده

Hemipterans are the diverse, abundant, and important pests in paddy ecosystem due to their piercing sucking mouthparts that feed on crop causing significant losses rice yields. Despite roles ecosystem, information DNA barcode, diversity, species richness has been occasionally discussed. This study aimed measure its abundance, richness, barcode hemipteran from ecosystem. Active sampling was used with two different arrangements Sabak Bernam, Selangor, for seasons. were collected identified up level morphologically prior barcoding. The abundance of measured along growth phases (vegetative, reproductive, mature). A total 2,167 individuals seven (Cyrtorhinus lividipennis, Leptocorisa oratorius, Nephotettix virescens, Cofana spectra, Sogatella furcifera, Scotinophara coarctata, Graptostethus sp.) successfully Shannon-Diversity Index (H’ = 0.4572), Margalef index (D 0.7811), Evenness (E 0.2257). There no difference (p > 0.05) diversity both highest during maturity stage (1,543 individuals), followed by reproductive (591 individuals) vegetative stages (33 individuals). observed a between seasons < 0.05). Five namely C. L. N. S. barcoded Leptocorisa, dominant genus. Outcomes this suggested management approaches must be developed cater at successful sustainable growing practice Malaysia.

DNA barcoding Australia's fish species.

Two hundred and seven species of fish, mostly Australian marine fish, were sequenced (barcoded) for a 655 bp region of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I gene (cox1). Most species were represented by multiple specimens, and 754 sequences were generated. The GC content of the 143 species of teleosts was higher than the 61 species of sharks and rays (47.1% versus 42.2%), largely due t...

Phylogenetic Assessment of Some Species of Crocus Genus Using DNA Barcoding

DNA barcoding is a simple method for the identification of any species using a short genetic sequence from a standard genome section. The present study aimed at examining the nuclear and chloroplast diversity as well as the phylogenetic relationships of eight species of saffron including four spring-flowering and five autumn-flowering species from different parts of Iran, using the nuclear barc...

DNA barcoding of clinically relevant Cunninghamella species.

Mucormycosis caused, in part, by representatives of the genus Cunninghamella is a severe infection with high mortality in patients with impaired immunity. Several species have been described in the literature as etiologic agents. A DNA barcoding study using ITS rDNA and tef-1α provided concordance of molecular data with conventional characters. The currently accepted Cunninghamella species were...

Morphology and Species Composition of Southern Adriatic Sea Leptocephali Evaluated Using DNA Barcoding

Leptocephali are the characteristic larvae of the superorder Elopomorpha that are difficult to identify at the species level. In this study, we used DNA barcoding (i.e. short genetic sequences of DNA used as unique species tags) coupled with classical taxonomic methods to identify leptocephali in the southern Adriatic Sea. This information will provide an assessment of the biodiversity of the e...

Species identification reveals mislabeling of important fish products in Iran by DNA barcoding

This study reports on the molecular identification of fish species from processed products which had a priori been classified as belonging to 5 important species in Iran for human consumption. DNA barcoding using direct sequencing of an approximately 650bp of mitochondrial Cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) gene revealed incorrect labeling of Narrow-barred Spanish mackerel samples. High occurre...
