چکیده
Synaptic Transistors In article number 2200733, Ye Zhou and co-workers design a multi-terminal MoS2 synaptic transistor to mimic the parallel signal transmission behaviors of biological multipolar neurons. With combination microstructured pressure sensors, an intelligent tactile recognition system is built up realize spatiotemporal modulation plasticity.

متن کاملSpatiotemporal Asymmetry of Associative Synaptic Plasticity in Fear Conditioning Pathways
Input-specific long-term potentiation (LTP) in afferent inputs to the amygdala serves an essential function in the acquisition of fear memory. Factors underlying input specificity of synaptic modifications implicated in information transfer in fear conditioning pathways remain unclear. Here we show that the strength of naive synapses in two auditory inputs converging on a single neuron in the l...

متن کاملHydrogen peroxide modulation of synaptic plasticity.
Unlike the proposed role of reactive oxygen species in neurodegeneration, acute effects of reactive oxygen on synaptic plasticity are poorly understood. Using rat hippocampal slices, we found that exposure to a high concentration (0.5-5 mm) of H(2)O(2) reduces EPSPs in both potentiated and nonpotentiated synapses. Exposure of the slices to 20 microm H(2)O(2) did not affect expression of preesta...
متن کاملEffects of visual deprivation on synaptic plasticity of visual cortex
TBS (Theta Burst Stimulation) and PBs (Primed Bursts) are among effective tetanic stimulations for induction of LTP in hippocampus. Recent studies have indicated that TBS is effective in LTP induction in layer III synapses of neocortex, only if applied to layer IV. However, the possibility of neocortical LTP induction using PBs, has not yet been investigated. Sensory deprivation greatly influ...
