Spatio-Temporal Patterns of Mass Changes in Himalayan Glaciated Region from EOF Analyses of GRACE Data

چکیده
The nature of hydrological seasonality over the Himalayan Glaciated Region (HGR) is complex due to varied precipitation patterns. present study attempts exemplify spatio-temporal variation mass HGR using time-variable gravity from Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite for period 2002–2016 on seasonal interannual timescales. signal derived GRACE data decomposed empirical orthogonal functions (EOFs), allowing us identify three broad divisions HGR, i.e., western, central, eastern, based gain or loss that corresponds prevailing climatic changes. Further, causative relationships between variables EOF signals are explored Granger causality algorithm. It appears a causal relationship exists total water storage GRACE. modes also indicate certain regional anomalies such as Karakoram gain, which represents ongoing snow accumulation. Our result suggests excessive snowfall in 2005–2008 has initiated this gain. However, our results indicate, despite dampening rates after 2008, been steadily increasing Karakorum, attributed flattening temperature anomaly curve subsequent lower melting 2008.

Mining Spatio-Temporal Patterns of Periodic Changes in Climate Data
The climate changes have attracted always interest because they may have great impact on the life on Earth and living beings. Computational solutions may be useful both for the prediction of the climate changes and for their characterization, perhaps in association with other phenomena. Due to the cyclic and seasonal nature of many climate processes, studying their repeatability may be relevant...
متن کاملSpatio-Temporal Parameters' Changes in Gait of Male Elderly Subjects
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare spatio-temporal gait parameters between elderly and young male subjects. Methods & Materials: 57 able-bodied elderly (72±5.5 years) and 57 healthy young (25±8.5 years) subjects participated in this study. A four segment model consist of trunk, hip, shank, and foot with 10 reflective markers were used to define lower limbs. Kinematic data c...

Spatio-temporal patterns of crab fisheries in the main bays of Guangdong Province, China
Using a semi-balloon otter trawl, crab fisheries in the main bays of Guangdong Province, China, were carried out seasonally . A total of 70 species were found, all belonging to the South China Sea Faunal sub region in the tropical India-West-Pacific Faunal Region. The clustering and nMDS ordination analysis revealed the existence of three groups. Group 1 included Hailing Bay and four bays to ...
