Spatial Distribution of Coral Reef Degradation with Human Activities in the Coastal Waters of Samatellu Lompo Island, South Sulawesi

A healthy coral reef ecosystem can be beneficial for the survival of fish habitats and aquatic ecosystems. This study aims to analyze influence human activities on spatial distribution reefs in coastal waters Samatellu Lompo Island, Pangkajene Islands Regency, South Sulawesi 2000, 2014, 2018, 2021. The was obtained through a field survey using underwater transect photo method. Then, satellite images were processed by Lyzenga algorithm water column correction, objects classified unsupervised classification. Human that affect destruction interviews it strengthened with related literature studies. results showed decreased from 2000-2021. In live area 13.53 ha, whereas 2021 8,031 ha. Destructive fishing such as bombs poison catching are main factors destruction. addition, destructive commonly occur western northern causing into dead or rubble.
