چکیده
This article presents a review on spaceborne Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R), which is an important part of GNSS-R technology and has attracted great attention from academia, industry government agencies in recent years. Compared with ground-based airborne approaches, number advantages, including wide coverage the ability to sense medium- large-scale phenomena such as ocean eddies, hurricanes tsunamis. Since 2014, about seven satellite missions have been successfully conducted large data were recorded. Accordingly, widely used carry out variety studies for range useful applications, significant research outcomes generated. provides overview these focus basic methods techniques retrieval geophysical parameters detection several objects. The challenges future prospects are also addressed.

First spaceborne observation of sea surface height using GPS-Reflectometry
An analysis of spaceborne Global Positioning System reflectometry (GPS-R) data from the TechDemoSat-1 (TDS-1) satellite is carried out to image the ocean sea surface height (SSH). An SSH estimation algorithm is applied to GPS-R delay waveforms over two regions in the South Atlantic and the North Pacific. Estimatesmade fromTDS-1 overpasses during a 6month period are aggregated to produce SSHmaps...
متن کاملThe Impact of Inter-Modulation Components on Interferometric GNSS-Reflectometry
The interferometric Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (iGNSS-R) exploits the full spectrum of the transmitted GNSS signal to improve the ranging performance for sea surface height applications. The Inter-Modulation (IM) component of the GNSS signals is an additional component that keeps the power envelope of the composite signals constant. This extra component has been neglected ...
متن کاملGNSS Reflectometry and Remote Sensing: New Objectives and Results
The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has been a very powerful and important contributor to all scientific questions related to precise positioning on Earth’s surface, particularly as a mature technique in geodesy and geosciences. With the development of GNSS as a satellite microwave (L-band) technique, more and wider applications and new potentials are explored and utilized. The versat...
متن کاملSea level observations using multi-system GNSS reflectometry
Information on sea level and its changes are important in connection to global climate change processes. For centuries, sea level has been observed with coastal tide gauges and since some decades with satellite altimetry. Furthermore, during recent years the application of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) reflectometry, also known as GNSS-R, for sea level observations has been develope...
