SOX2OT Long Noncoding RNA Is Regulated by the UPR in Oestrogen Receptor-Positive Breast Cancer

چکیده

Endoplasmic reticulum (ENR) stress perturbs cell homeostasis and induces the unfolded protein response (UPR). In breast cancer, this process is activated by oestrogen deprivation associated with tamoxifen resistance. We present evidence that transcription factor SOX2 long noncoding RNA overlapping transcript (SOX2OT) are upregulated in receptor-positive (ER+) cancer to deprivation. examined effect of UPR on SOX2OT expression pathways lines. The induction thapsigargin or glucose upregulates expression. This upregulation also shown anti-oestrogen 4OH-tamoxifen mTOR inhibitor everolimus ER + cells sensitive treatment. overexpression decreased BiP PERK was confirmed pathway q-PCR. Our results show a regulates evince new function as participant ENR reprogramming cells.

Study of Long Noncoding RNA FER1L4 and RB1, as Its Competing Endogenous RNA Network Target Gene, in Breast Cancer

Introduction: Breast cancer is the second most common cause of cancer-related death among females, which requires an exploration for markers to propose a more specific categorization of this cancer. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), the main subset of noncoding transcripts, are involved in tumorigenic processes. In this study, we investigated the expression of the fer-1–like family member 4 (FER...

Akt2 expression is associated with good long-term prognosis in oestrogen receptor positive breast cancer.

INTRODUCTION Akt is a signalling modulator for many cellular processes, including metabolism, cell proliferation, cell survival and cell growth. Three isoforms of Akt have been identified, but only a few studies have concerned the isoform-specific roles in the prognosis of breast cancer patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogen...

SOX2OT, a long non-coding RNA involved in autophagy regulation

Summary: SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT) is a long non-coding RNA associated with cancer pathogenesis. It contributes to a variety of cellular functions and recent evidence propounds its association with autophagy process. It has been showed that SOX2OT can regulate the expression of different autophagy associated factors in human cells with different mechanisms, however more remains to ...

Clinical and in vitro Study of Novel Long Non-Coding RNA lncUSMycN in Breast Cancer Cancer

Background: Despite recent advances in diagnosis and treatment, breast cancer remains a leading cause of death in women worldwide. Long non-coding RNAs are a new class of RNA molecules that have been shown to participate in tumorigenesis. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of lncUSMycN in tumor samples and to evaluate its potential role in the breast cancer cell line. Metho...

Emerging Role of Long Non-Coding RNA SOX2OT in SOX2 Regulation in Breast Cancer

The transcription factor SOX2 is essential for maintaining pluripotency in a variety of stem cells. It has important functions during embryonic development, is involved in cancer stem cell maintenance, and is often deregulated in cancer. The mechanism of SOX2 regulation has yet to be clarified, but the SOX2 gene lies in an intron of a long multi-exon non-coding RNA called SOX2 overlapping trans...
