SOURGRASS INTERFERENCE ON SOYBEAN GROWN IN BRAZILIAN CERRADO

چکیده
ABSTRACT Sourgrass (Digitaria insularis) is one of the main species causing significant losses in Brazilian soybean production systems. Thus, this paper aimed to evaluate sourgrass interference on soybeans grown under Cerrado conditions. Three field experiments were conducted, which first two (E1 and E2) simulated after pre-sowing burndown, using plants already emerged by time sown; whereas third (E3) both simultaneously. Both E1 E2 conducted a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with five treatments based infestation densities (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 m-2) four replications. In turn, E3 was also carried out an RCBD but arranged 2 x 5 factorial The factor comprised cultivars, while second density levels, just as E2. results showed that increasing reduced yield regardless plant growth stage when crop sown. Yield higher established Soybean reached up 80% levels.

Brazilian Cerrado Soil Actinobacteria Ecology
A total of 2152 Actinobacteria strains were isolated from native Cerrado (Brazilian Savannah) soils located in Passos, Luminárias, and Arcos municipalities (Minas Gerais State, Brazil). The soils were characterised for chemical and microbiological analysis. The microbial analysis led to the identification of nine genera (Streptomyces, Arthrobacter, Rhodococcus, Amycolatopsis, Microbacterium, Fr...
متن کاملBioactive Compounds Found in Brazilian Cerrado Fruits
Functional foods include any natural product that presents health-promoting effects, thereby reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Cerrado fruits are considered a source of bioactive substances, mainly phenolic compounds, making them important functional foods. Despite this, the losses of natural vegetation in the Cerrado are progressive. Hence, the knowledge propagation about the importance o...
متن کاملStructure and composition of bacterial and fungal community in soil under soybean monoculture in the Brazilian Cerrado
Soybean is the most important oilseed cultivated in the world and Brazil is the second major producer. Expansion of soybean cultivation has direct and indirect impacts on natural habitats of high conservation value, such as the Brazilian savannas (Cerrado). In addition to deforestation, land conversion includes the use of fertilizers and pesticides and can lead to changes in the soil microbial ...
متن کاملThe Brazilian Soybean Complex
The rise of the Brazilian soybean complex simultaneously tells two important stories. The first story is the classic rise of an industry due to natural resource abundance (the Cerrado) and strategic investments in agricultural technology (low-latitude soybeans). Brazil is now the second leading producer of the fastest growing broad-acre crop in the world, has unparalleled arable land reserves, ...
متن کاملArchaea diversity in vegetation gradients from the Brazilian Cerrado.
We used 16S rRNA sequencing to assess the archaeal communities across a gradient of Cerrado. The archaeal communities differed across the gradient. Crenarcheota was the most abundant phyla, with Nitrosphaerales and NRPJ as the predominant classes. Euryachaeota was also found across the Cerrado gradient, including the classes Metanocellales and Methanomassiliicoccaceae.
