Pesisir Aceh Barat memiliki potensi sumberdaya kelautan yang tinggi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup manusia. Salah satu adalah alga laut Sargassum sp. Spesies sp merupakan salah jenis rumput kandungan antioksidan dan antibakteri tinggi. Oleh Karena itu, Peneliti melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi pendampingan mitra PkM Sosialisasi pengenalan sebagai pengawet alami.
