Solvent Extraction of Metal Ions from Synthetic Copper Leaching Solution Using R4NCy

Recent works suggest that the use of ionic liquids in copper solvent extraction industry is feasible. However, reports did not real solutions (or synthetic with various elements). This fact remains poorly established, and interaction efficiencies are still under study. The objective this research to explore stripping four major elements present a industrial pregnant leach solution (Cu(II), Fe(III), Mn(II), Zn(II)) using methyltrioctyl/decylammonium bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)phosphinate (R4NCy) liquid as an extractant. work conditions studied were concentration, initial pH, O/A ratio, H2SO4 concentration ratio. test was carried out at room temperature ambient pressure. High efficiency selectivity (99.82% 113,755 over Cu(II), respectively) observed for Fe(III) other elements. Moreover, after test, significant difficulty loaded (28.7% 0.5 M H2SO4). Finally, study demonstrates R4NCy suitable because it has higher Zn(II).
