Solubility Calculations of Methane and Ethane in Aqueous Electrolyte Solutions

چکیده
Accurate calculation of light hydrocarbon solubilities in aqueous electrolyte solutions is critical for petroleum and geochemical applications. However, very few Equations State (e-EoS) have been used solubilities. Thermodynamic gas (methane ethane) chloride salts are presented. This work introduces a new parameter estimation approach (which can predict well the liquid densities solutions) Cubic Plus Association EoS (e-CPA). The cation/anion–water interaction parameters obtained from regression experimental mean ionic activity coefficients densities. results show that e-CPA with gives good agreements corresponding data. cation/anion–gas correlates reasonably well. dissolution mechanisms salting effects extensively analyzed discussed deeper understanding solutions.

Solubility of Methane, Ethane, and Propane in Pure Water Using New Binary Interaction Parameters
Solubility of hydrocarbons in water is important due to ecological concerns and new restrictions on the existence of organic pollutants in water streams. Also, the creation of a thermodynamic model has required an advanced study of the phase equilibrium between water (as a basis for the widest spread muds and amines) and gas hydrocarbon phases in wide temperature and pressure ranges. Therefore,...

متن کاملAn Evaluation of Four Electrolyte Models for the Prediction of Thermodynamic Properties of Aqueous Electrolyte Solutions
In this work, the performance of four electrolyte models for prediction the osmotic and activity coefficients of different aqueous salt solutions at 298 K, atmospheric pressure and in a wide range of concentrations are evaluated. In two of these models, (electrolyte Non-Random Two-Liquid e-NRTL and Mean Spherical Approximation-Non-Random Two-Liquid MSA-NRTL), association between ions of opposit...
متن کاملGlasslike behavior in aqueous electrolyte solutions.
When salts are added to water, generally the viscosity increases, suggesting that the ions increase the strength of the water's hydrogen-bond network. However, infrared pump-probe measurements on electrolyte solutions have found that ions have no influence on the rotational dynamics of water molecules, implying no enhancement or breakdown of the hydrogen-bond network. Here, we report optical Ke...
