چکیده

Aquaculture requires new, economical, and eco-friendly protein sources to replace traditional fisheries plant ingredients. Using agriculture by-products as would reduce land-based feed production pressure waste production, promoting a circular economy sustainable aquaculture. Distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) is the main by-product of bioethanol production. Corn DDGS has high level, but its fiber content limits use ingredient, particularly for carnivorous fish. Solid-state fermentation (SSF) uses lignocellulosic-rich substrates, such DDGS, microbial growth in near absence water, enzyme that degrades lignocellulosic matrix, increasing free reducing sugars, protein, antioxidant levels substrate. In present work, SSF corn Aspergillus carbonarius, A. ibericus, uvarum was tested. Then, digestibility most promising fermented (in terms upgraded nutritional composition) tested by including it reference diet (70% diet; 48% crude protein; 15% lipids) European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) juveniles (171 g averaged weight; trial duration 52 days). Among fungi tested, ibericus led generally higher upgrading composition, leading amount (from 42.7 49.7 N/kg DM), phenolic compounds (1.49 4.86 mg/g caffeic acid equivalents), sugars (9.5 31.9 mg/g), (45 U/g 68 cellulase xylanase, respectively), reduction detergent neutral (up 29 43%, respectively). Compared unfermented presented increased lipids, starch, energy digestibility, while phosphorous similar. diet, dietary inclusion or trypsin chymotrypsin activities. The activity digestive enzymes not affected except amylase activity, which lower than diet. conclusion, enhanced value, when included diets juveniles.

Biorefinery strategies for upgrading Distillers’ Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS)

20 21 Distillers’ Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) is the major by-product of bioethanol and distillery 22 plants. Due to its high content of proteins, water-soluble vitamins and minerals, DDGS has been 23 long marketed as animal feed for livestock. Phosphorus digestibility response of growing pigs to phytase supplementation of triticale distillers' dried grains with solubles.

An experiment was conducted in growing pigs to determine the true total-tract digestibility (TTTD) of P in triticale distillers' dried grains with solubles (DDGS) with or without phytase using the regression method. Six diets were formulated in a 3 × 2 factorial arrangement, including 3 levels of triticale DDGS (300, 400, or 500 g/kg) and phytase (0 or 500 phytase units [FTU]/kg of diet). A tot...

True Metabolizable Energy and Amino Acid Digestibility of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles

In recent years, policies encouraging the production of ethanol have stimulated an enormous increase in the production of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS). The form of the ingredient that is becoming increasingly available differs from that of previous decades in that it is derived almost entirely from corn and is dried under less severe conditions. Seventeen DDGS samples were obtai...

Standardized ileal digestibility of reactive lysine in distillers dried grains with solubles fed to growing pigs.

The Maillard reaction can occur during the production of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) as a result of the addition of condensed solubles to the wet distillers cake during drying. The Maillard reaction can lead to the formation of unavailable or unreactive lysine as a result of binding of reducing sugars to the epsilon-NH(2) group of Lys. The Lys that remains unbound is called rea...

Amino acid digestibility and energy concentration of high-protein corn dried distillers grains and high-protein sorghum dried distillers grains with solubles for swine.

A study was conducted to determine the AA digestibility and energy concentration of a specialized high-protein corn distillers dried grains (HPC-DDG) product and a high-protein sorghum dried distillers grains with solubles (HPS-DDGS) product. Six growing barrows (BW = 22.7 kg) were surgically fitted with T-cannulas at the terminal ileum and allotted randomly to 3 treatments in a crossover desig...
