Solar PV Fed DC Microgrid: Applications, Converter Selection, Design and Testing

In this research article, major applications which use solar PV fed DC microgrid for either their routine operation or gain additional advantages over existing electrical power architecture are elaborated. The role of converters in interfacing the input with required output is highlighted. demonstrated by designing and testing a non-isolated high (HGHP) DC-DC converter to meet distribution voltage level. proposed synthesized using hybrid combination three-phase interleaved boost (IBC) lift technique along coupled inductors (CIs) multiplier cell (VMC). concept practically adopted design techniques validated simulation experimentation. 60V/1.1kV, 100kHz 3kW rating operates at 92.3% full-load efficiency under practical conditions. Due extension adopted, switches used subjected stress only 36% voltage. interleaving technique, current ripple on 15% 33% respectively.
