Soil-Related Predictors for Distribution Modelling of Four European Crayfish Species

نویسندگان

چکیده

One of the most critical challenges in species distribution modelling is testing and validating various digitally derived environmental predictors (e.g., remote-sensing variables, topographic variables) by field data. Therefore, here we aimed to explore value soil properties spatial four European indigenous crayfish species. A database with 473 presence absence locations Romania for Austropotamobius bihariensis, A. torrentium, Astacus astacus Pontastacus leptodactylus was used relation eight digitalised properties. Using random forest modelling, found a preference dense soils lower coarse fragments content together deeper sediment cover higher clay values P. leptodactylus. These descriptors trigger need cohesive river banks as microenvironment building their burrows. Conversely, that can use content, highland bihariensis prefer slightly thinner density while not influenced clay/sand content. Of all species, related erosive soils. The these soil-related digital may reside improvement approaches gain adequate conservation measures.

Species distribution modelling of invasive alien species; Pterois miles for current distribution and future suitable habitats

The present study aims to predict the potential geographic distribution and future expansion of invasive alien lionfish (Pterois miles) with ecological niche modelling along the Mediterranean Sea. The primary data consisted of occurrence points of P. miles in the Mediterranean and marine climatic data layers were collected from global databases. All the used models run 100% su...

circuit analogies programming vs mathematical modelling for soil temperature distribution

temperature profile determination in soils under adverse conditions of variable heat capacity and conductivity is a rather hard task. the heat capacity and conductivity are moisture dependent and both vary with the soil density. moisture movement on the other hand is temperature dependent and so the two interact. no single mathematical formulae as yet exists for anticipating the temperature dis...

Proximal Soil Sensing – A Contribution for Species Habitat Distribution Modelling of Earthworms in Agricultural Soils?

BACKGROUND Earthworms are important for maintaining soil ecosystem functioning and serve as indicators of soil fertility. However, detection of earthworms is time-consuming, which hinders the assessment of earthworm abundances with high sampling density over entire fields. Recent developments of mobile terrestrial sensor platforms for proximal soil sensing (PSS) provided new tools for collectin...

Four new Fusarium species from Fusarium solani species complex isolated from soil

One hundred isolates of Fusarium solani species complex were isolated and identified from 58 agricultural soil samples collected from different geographical regions in Kermanshah, Hamadan and Kurdistan provinces of Iran. Based on morphological characteristics, Fusarium falciforme, F. petroliphilum, F. keratoplasticum and F. pseudensiforme, are reported for the first time from Iran.
