Soil Properties and Maize Growth Affected by Soil Nutrient Management Practices in Saemangeum Reclaimed Land

چکیده
Agricultural production in Saemangeum reclaimed land is limited by low organic matter and nutrients content of soil, which lowers crops productivity. One the best ways to improve soil properties yield upland are increase using amendments. To investigate effects amendments on crop productivity improvement properties, we cultivated maize an experimental field with four treatments compost chemical fertilizer (FC), (F), control (C), non-cultivation (N). The increments (OM), available phosphate, calcium potassium ratio (Ca/K ratio) was greatest FC treatment. Organic contents showed increasing trend application soil. treatment increased 6.29 g kg-1, highest among treatments. Available phosphate after harvest 33 mg kg-1 F treatment, 255 kg-1. Ca/K C 4.39 from 2018 2020. On other hand, only (F) did not affected properties. 155% compared that control. It concluded contributed more than building up matter, phosphorus, status Also, Application combined favorable productivity.Regression ratio, 0 - 20 cm layer over time, as influenced (x = day, y characteristic or ratio). Maize productivity and nutrient use efficiency in Western Kenya as affected by soil type and crop management
Low soil fertility and high weed infestation are the main culprits for the declining maize production inWestern Kenya. Technology packages to address these constraints exist, but their effectiveness is likely to be influenced by variability in soil types and farm management practices in the region. Trials were conducted during the 2008/2009 cropping seasons to investigate the nutrient use e...
متن کاملLand Management Effects on Carbon Sequestration and Soil Properties in Reclaimed Farmland of Eastern Ohio, USA
Reclaimed mined soils (RMSs) could restore soil quality and ecosystem productivity while sequestering C and off-setting some of C emissions associated with coal utilization. The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of tillage and pasture management on soil physical properties, soil organic carbon (SOC) and microbial biomass carbon (MBC) in RMSs managed for agricultural use in eastern Ohi...
متن کاملTea yield and soil properties as affected by slope position and aspect in Lahijan area, Iran
Soil genesis, physico-chemical properties and tea yield were investigated along different hillslope positions in the major tea cultivation area of Iran, i.e. Lahijan, Gilan Province. Land suitability was also determined for the tea production in this hilly region. Four different slope positions i.e., summit, shoulder, backslope and toeslope were sampled on three slope aspects following the prof...
متن کاملMaize Endophytic Bacterial Diversity as Affected by Soil Cultivation History
The bacterial endophytic communities residing within roots of maize (Zea mays L.) plants cultivated by a sustainable management in soils from the Quechua maize belt (Peruvian Andes) were examined using tags pyrosequencing spanning the V4 and V5 hypervariable regions of the 16S rRNA. Across four replicate libraries, two corresponding to sequences of endophytic bacteria from long time maize-culti...
متن کاملSoil-nutrient availability affected by different biomass-ash applications
This study, through an incubation experiment, evaluates the effect that different biomass ashes exert on the extractability of nutrients and some chemical parameters and dehydrogenase activity of a slightly acid soil. Three types of as were selected: two new ashes generated by the dry combustion of olive cake or by gasification of greenhouse vegetable wastes, and a third produced by wood combus...
