Soil organic carbon characteristics affected by peanut shell biochar in saline-sodic paddy field

چکیده
Biochar exhibits a profound impact on soil organic carbon (SOC) turnover and dynamics, but the underlying mechanism under field conditions is still unclear. A three-year experiment was performed to evaluate of peanut shell biochar applied at rates 0, 33.75, 67.5, 101.25 t/ha (referred as B0, B1, B2, B3, respectively) SOC content chemical composition in saline-sodic paddy using stable isotope 13C nuclear magnetic resonance technology. With increasing biochar, aromatic contents alkyl carbon/oxygen-alkyl hydrophobic carbon/hydrophilic ratios increased, while oxygen-alkyl aliphatic carbon/aromatic ratio decreased. The new from rice residues accounted for 26.5% B0 increased above 80.0% B2 B3. decay rate old faster biochar-amended than unamended soil. positively correlated with negatively ratio. results suggest that can increase by its humification, aromaticity, hydrophobicity. However, negative priming not main accumulation during short-term period.

Applying Biochar and Mineral Amendments to Remediate the Chemical Properties of a Saline-Sodic Soil
The present study was intended to improve the chemical properties of a saline-sodic soil using the individual application of alfalfa residue and two biochars produced from sugarcane bagasse and walnut shell, at the weighting ratio of 5%; their concomitant application with gypsum, aluminum sulfate and the mixture of these two chemical amendments was considered. The experiment was conducted in th...

Variations in eco-enzymatic stoichiometric and microbial characteristics in paddy soil as affected by long-term integrated organic-inorganic fertilization
To investigate the effects of different nutrient management regimes on the soil chemical, eco-enzymatic stoichiometric and microbial characteristics, soil samples were collected from a 30-year, long-term field experiment with six plots growing rice. The results showed that as integrated fertilization increased, so did the concentrations of soil total or available nutrients and microbial biomass...
متن کاملImproving Soil Physical Indicators by Soil Amendment to a Saline-Sodic Soil
The application of organic amendments can be an appropriate solution to reclaim and improve physical propertiesof saline-sodic soils. In this research, an experiment was performed under greenhouse conditions to study the effect ofamendments to the physical properties of loamy saline-sodic soil. The five treatments were control (withoutamendment), municipal solid waste compost (MC), vermicompost...
