Soil Moisture and Nutrient Changes of Agroforestry in Karst Plateau Mountain: A Monitoring Example
نویسندگان
چکیده
To explore soil nutrients and moisture changes in different karst mountain agroforestry, the plateau mountains of Southern China Karst, we used secondary tree irrigation forest (C) as a reference for our study selected four mixed agroforestry species (walnut + maize potato (HYM), walnut (HTY), poplar ryegrass (YSH), (YMH)) comparison. First, change characteristics were monitored situ field. Second, samples, bulk density, porosity, permeability analyzed, nutrient (K, Na, Ca, Mg) tested analyzed. Then, explored relationship between moisture, nutrients, precipitation, nutrients. It is shown (1) during period, variation trends types was small, but it increased/decreased significantly compared with forest, which range more than 5%; (2) water content affected by porosity permeability, HYM, HTY, YSH, YMH correlated permeability; (3) under same precipitation conditions, had lags on regulation, average HYM 0.8 h, HTY 0.6 YSH 0.3 0.4 each type responded at 2–3 h after rain, returned to normal level; (4) fluctuated seasonally, most obvious their Cv value winter summer exceeded 21%. The results provide basic theoretical support further exploring among soil, enrich development areas. They are importance promote ecological restoration

Study of Changes in Soil Moisture and Salinity Under PlasticMulch and Drip Irrigation in Pistachio Trees
In this study, changes in soil moisture and salinity contents in drip irrigation combined with white and black plastic mulches compared to no mulch (control) was evaluated. The experiment was carried out in two commercial pistachio orchards (Ohadi cultivar) with irrigation frequencies of 8 to 12 days with a total water consumption 4100 and 6170 m3ha−1. The study was conducted in a complete rand...
متن کاملRecharge estimation and soil moisture dynamics in a Mediterranean, semi-arid karst region
Knowledge of soil moisture dynamics in the unsaturated soil zone provides valuable information on the temporal and spatial variability of groundwater recharge. This is especially true for the Mediterranean region, where a substantial fraction of long-term groundwater recharge is expected to occur during high magnitude precipitation events of aboveaverage wet winters. To elucidate process unders...

متن کاملEffects of Soil Temperature and Moisture on Soil Respiration on the Tibetan Plateau
Understanding of effects of soil temperature and soil moisture on soil respiration (Rs) under future warming is critical to reduce uncertainty in predictions of feedbacks to atmospheric CO2 concentrations from grassland soil carbon. Intact cores with roots taken from a full factorial, 5-year alpine meadow warming and grazing experiment in the field were incubated at three different temperatures...
متن کاملLow Cost Soil Moisture Monitoring System: A Capstone Design Project
Environmental monitoring is a significant driver for wireless sensor communication. Its potential to provide dynamic real-time data about monitored variable will enable to measure properties that have not previously been observable. A low cost consumer version soil moisture monitoring system was built using a gypsum block to take moisture readings, a peripheral interface controller (PIC) with a...
