چکیده

Abstract The aim of the present study was to establish effect management type and environmental variables on structure, abundance species richness soil mites (Acari: Mesostigmata) in twelve urban green areas Bucharest-Romania. Three categories ecosystem based upon were investigated: protected area, managed (metropolitan, municipal district parks) unmanaged areas. which analysed were: air temperature, moisture atmospheric humidity, pH penetration resistance. In June 2017, 480 samples taken, using MacFadyen core. same number measures made for quantification variables. Considering these, we observed that humidity resistance differed significantly between all three types area. All investigated variables, especially pH, related community assemblage. Analysing entire Mesostigmata community, 68 identified, with 790 individuals 49 immatures. order highlight response mite communities conditions, Shannon, dominance, equitability maturity indices quantified. With one exception (numerical abundance), these recorded higher values compared ecosystems. trend different areas, metropolitan parks having a richer acarological fauna than or parks.

Morphometric variations of laelapine mite (Acari: Mesostigmata) populations infesting small mammals (Mammalia) in Brazil.

The goal of this study was to evaluate the morphometric variation of laelapine populations (Acari, Mesostigmata) associated with neotropical oryzomyine rodents at different geographic localities in Brazil. Three nominal mite species were selected for study, all infesting the pelage of small mammals at different localities in Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Bahia, and the Federal District, Brazi...

This paper reviews 47 names that have been used at the levels of Family, Subfamily and Tribe, for mites in the suborder Uropodina. Complete bibliographic references are provided for all of these names and the names of their type genera. The spelling and authorship of taxon names is corrected where necessary. Fifteen of these family-group names are unavailable, because they do not satisfy the re...

Phytoseiidae (Acari: Mesostigmata) from natural ecosystems in the State of São Paulo, Brazil.

This work describes the results of a study of the phytoseiid mites collected from plants in two natural ecosystems in the State of São Paulo, Brazil-Cerrado and Atlantic Forest. In this study, 40 phytoseiid species are reported. Measurements of different structures are given for species for which measurements for the respective São Paulo populations were not previously provided. This study also...
