چکیده
A process of infiltration from the soil surface to form water is known as infiltration; this only way for plants absorb and use water. This closely related nutrient migration, runoff, erosion. The objectives study were quantify effect typical plant communities on performance, reveal interaction between rate characteristics roots, determine primary influencing elements Xilamuren grassland. ring knife method was used at 0–30 cm layer six vegetation communities. results indicated that Koeleria macrantha community highest depth 0–5 cm, while Convolvulus ammannii lowest, reaching 4.25 mm·min−1 0.53 mm·min−1, respectively. different gradually declined with increment depth. strongest correlations found bulk density, total porosity, organic matter, root characteristics, rate. initial content, capillary clay content factors acting in region. Other indirectly impacted by modifying which a crucial limiting factor determining research study’s findings will give theoretical practical assistance prevention management deterioration grassland restoration area.

Parallel shifts in plant and soil microbial communities in response to biosolids in a semi-arid grassland
Approximately 70,150 dry Mg of biosolids from over 450 wastewater treatment facilities are applied to the semi-arid rangelands of Colorado every year. Research on semi-arid grassland responses to biosolids has become vital to better understand ecosystem dynamics and develop effective biosolids management strategies. The objectives of this study were to determine the long-term (w12 years) effect...
متن کاملPositive climate feedbacks of soil microbial communities in a semi-arid grassland.
Soil microbial communities may be able to rapidly respond to changing environments in ways that change community structure and functioning, which could affect climate-carbon feedbacks. However, detecting microbial feedbacks to elevated CO(2) (eCO(2) ) or warming is hampered by concurrent changes in substrate availability and plant responses. Whether microbial communities can persistently feed ...
متن کاملPlant and soil fungal but not soil bacterial communities are linked in long-term fertilized grassland.
Inorganic fertilization and mowing alter soil factors with subsequent effects-direct and indirect - on above- and below-ground communities. We explored direct and indirect effects of long-term fertilization (N, P, NPK, Liming) and twice yearly mowing on the plant, bacterial and fungal communities and soil factors. We analyzed co-variation using 16S and 18S rRNA genes surveys, and plant frequenc...
متن کاملThe Effects of Warming-Shifted Plant Phenology on Ecosystem Carbon Exchange Are Regulated by Precipitation in a Semi-Arid Grassland
BACKGROUND The longer growing season under climate warming has served as a crucial mechanism for the enhancement of terrestrial carbon (C) sink over the past decades. A better understanding of this mechanism is critical for projection of changes in C cycling of terrestrial ecosystems. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS A 4-year field experiment with day and night warming was conducted to examine ...
متن کاملBiotic and Abiotic Properties Mediating Plant Diversity Effects on Soil Microbial Communities in an Experimental Grassland
Plant diversity drives changes in the soil microbial community which may result in alterations in ecosystem functions. However, the governing factors between the composition of soil microbial communities and plant diversity are not well understood. We investigated the impact of plant diversity (plant species richness and functional group richness) and plant functional group identity on soil mic...
