چکیده
The soils which show very high shear strength in a dry state but rapidly lose their on wetting are known as collapsible soils. Such rapid and massive loss of produces severe distress leading to extensive cracking differential settlements, instability building foundations, even collapse structures built these Waste marble dust is an industrial byproduct being produced large quantities globally poses environmental hazard. Therefore, it the utmost need look for some sustainable solution its disposal. present study focused mitigation potential CL-ML soil through physio-chemical process. sensitive wetting, warranting stabilization. (WMD) varying percentages was used admixture. study's optimization process showed that geotechnical parameters improved substantially by adding waste dust. Plasticity reduced while Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) significantly increased swelling acceptable limit. California Bearing Ratio (CBR) also exhibits considerable improvement. This appraises safe disposal hazardous safely turns into suitable material engineering purposes. Doi: 10.28991/cej-2021-03091746 Full Text: PDF

Nowadays, in modern societies, growing activities in construction affairs and their economic development have been resulted construction wastes and so much demolition in the past three decades. Most of these wastes have not been treated and therefore caused severe damages to the environment. In this research, after reviewing construction and demolition management methods and their accesso...
متن کاملExploring relation between Environmental Indexes and Soil erotion for sustainable development
Today, with increasing human population and more usage of natural resources is cause of needing to environmental management more than before. Global experiments show that appearance of unsustainability environmental Indexes is the cause of undesirable natural resources management and harmful effects on environmental. Thus attention to sustainable development principle that is based on advantage...
متن کاملProduction of artificial stone slabs using waste granite and marble stone sludge samples
In this work, the waste stone sludge obtained from the granite and marble stone processing factories was used for the manufacture of artificial stones using vibratory compaction in a vacuum environment. The results obtained showed that water absorption and density increased, and the flexure, compressive, and tensile strengths decreased with increase in the content of the waste stone sludge. The...
متن کاملMonitoring soil for sustainable development and land degradation neutrality
The adoption of the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) listed in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by the United Nations urged the scientific community to generate information for planning and monitoring socioeconomic development and the underlying environmental compartments. SDGs 2, 3, 6, 11, 13, 14, and 15 have targets which commend direct consideration of soil resources. There...
