چکیده
The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare the erosion rates generated by two types hand tools for small-scale tillage on a hillslope, using experimental tests Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE). evaluated were conventional hoe redesigned furrowing hoe. work conducted in 145 m2 plot with an average slope 45% Colombia. Three treatments evaluated: a) Zero no herbicide (control); b) plus herbicide; c) herbicide. Each treatment represented sedimentation plot, three repetitions blocks (lower, middle, upper parts each plot), according maximum gradient. Both high extremely differences up 8.1 times between them. accelerated soil rates, being higher tillage. USLE method showed methods, while found tests. This is explained lower sensitivity detect changes factors such as type, cover, slope.

Predicting soil erosion in conservation tillage cotton production systems using the revised universal soil loss equation (RUSLE)
Despite being one of the most pro®table crops for the southeastern USA, cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) is considered to create a greater soil erosion hazard than other annual crops such as corn (Zea mays L.) and soybeans (Glycine max (L.) Merr.). Reduced tillage systems and cover cropping can reduce soil erosion and leaching of nutrients into ground water. The objectives of this study, which wa...

Soil erosion rates and soil quality indicators were measured along two hillslope transects in the Loess Plateau near Yan'an, China. The objectives were to: (a) quantify spatial patterns and controlling processes of soil redistribution due to water and tillage erosion, and (b) correlate soil quality parameters with soil redistribution along the hillslope transects for different land use manageme...

متن کاملAssessment of Soil Erosion Susceptibility in Kothagiri Taluk Using Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) and Geo-Spatial Technology
Soil erosion is a serious environmental problem in Kothagiri Taluk. Many studies have been carried out to map shifting cultivation and areas susceptible to soil erosion. Mostly, estimated soil loss is taken as the basis to classify the level of soil loss susceptibility of area. The Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) function is a commonly used erosion model for this purpose in Kothagi...
متن کاملA nonparametric/parametric analysis of the Universal Soil Loss Equation
Due to its modest data demands and transparent model structure, the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) remains the most popular tool for water erosion hazard assessment. However, the model has several shortcomings, two of which are likely to have prominent implications for the model results. First, the mathematical form of the USLE, the multiplication of six factors, easily leads to large erro...
