This article offers an in-depth ethnographic and historical description of how ethnic-religious revival movement has had impact on religious life. The will focus the story one Israeli’s foremost movements—the Mizrahi-Haredi teshuva movement. We look at encounter between activists Mizrahi synagogue congregations, outcomes that infrastructures, activists’ agenda. following questions be addressed: How did relationship congregations develop? What tensions arose they turn a strict outlook into soft approach? is based many years fieldwork in exposed to Israel. provided both rich inventory opportunity describe trend illuminates communal, authoritative, gender models originated with local congregations.
