Sofic profiles of $$S(\omega )$$ and computability

نویسندگان

چکیده

We show that for every sofic chunk $E$ there is a bijective homomorphism $f: E_c \rightarrow E$, where $E_c$ of the group computable permutations $\mathbb{N}$ so approximating morphisms can be viewed as restrictions to finite subsets $\mathbb{N}$. Using this we study some relevant effectivity conditions associated with chunks and their profiles.

Computability of Topological Pressure for Sofic Shifts with Applications in Statistical Physics

The topological pressure of dynamical systems theory is examined from a computability theoretic point of view. It is shown that for sofic shift dynamical systems, the topological pressure is a computable function. This result is applied to a certain class of one dimensional spin systems in statistical physics. As a consequence, the specific free energy of these spin systems is computable. Final...

Codes and sofic constraints

We study the notion of a code in a sofic subshift. We first give a generalization of the Kraft-McMillan inequality to this case. We then prove that the polynomial of the alphabet in an irreducible sofic shift divides the polynomial of any finite code which is complete for this sofic shift. This settles a conjecture from Reutenauer.

Sofic Mean Length

Given a length function L on the R-modules of a unital ring R, for any sofic group Γ, we define a mean length for every locally L-finite RΓ-module relative to a bigger RΓ-module. We establish an addition formula for the mean length. We give two applications. The first one shows that for any unital left Noetherian ring R, RΓ is stably direct finite. The second one shows that for any ZΓ-module M,...

Sofic groups and convolution operators

Conjecture: Let Γ be a discrete group, f ∈ L(Γ) and Tf : L (Γ) → L(Γ) be the right convolution by f . Then if Tf is injective, it is surjective as well. We prove the conjecture for the class of sofic groups. AMS Subject Classification: 43A20

Sofic Groups and Diophantine Approximation

We prove the algebraic eigenvalue conjecture of J.Dodziuk, P.Linnell, V.Mathai, T.Schick and S.Yates (see [2]) for sofic groups. Moreover, we give restrictions on the spectral measure of elements in the integral group ring. Finally, we prove a quantization of the operator norm below 2. To the knowledge of the author, there is no group known, which is not sofic.
