چکیده
The gasification filter cake (GFC) has great application potential for improving the characteristics of seedling substrates due to its nutrient richness and excellent water retention capacity. However, GFCs leach heavy metals easily thus pose certain ecological risks. Sodium silicate can enhance plant resistance metal toxicity by fixing metals. This study investigated impact sodium on cucumber growth, chemical characterization substrate, distribution transfer was added substrate mix at mass rates 0 g/kg−1 (GFC0), 2 (GFC2), 4 (GFC4), 8 (GFC8). composed a commercial matrix, caragana compost, GFC (m:m 7:7:2). increased content total phosphorus (P), available potassium (K) in 31.58%, 16.58%, 80.10%, respectively. Conversely, decreased height 12.3%. Adding chlorophyll plants, fixed promoted absorption utilization plants. Compared with GFC0 without silicate, adding rate (GFC2) reduced chromium, lead, cadmium contents 51.13%, 26.37%, 90.04%, respectively, which effectively alleviated stress more conducive growth.

Heavy metal toxicity: Effect on plant growth, biochemical parameters and metal accumulation by Brassica juncea L.
Plant growth, pigment concentration, biochemical parameters and uptake of heavy metals were determined for Brassica juncea L. in response to cadmium and lead stress. The plant exhibited a decline in growth, chlorophyll content and carotenoids with Cd and Pb but Cd was found to be more detrimental than Pb treatment in B. juncea. The protein content was decreased by Cd (900 μM) to 95% and 44% by ...

Background: A pot experiment was conducted to determine the toxic effects of some heavy metals on the plant growth and seed yield of maize (Zea mays L.). Materials and Metheds: Heavy metals Mn, Pb, Cd, Cr and Co individually and in combinations were added as chloride salts in solutions to the pots before sowing. The test plants for were harvested after 80 days of germination and evaluated f...
متن کاملHeavy Metal Accumulation in Wild Plants: Implications for Phytoremediation
This work addresses the issue of Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd, Ni and Cr accumulation in wildgrown plants in the context of their possible use for the sanitation of sludge and waste substrates. The highest contents of heavy metals were noted in Lactuca serriola, Chenopodium album, Artemisia vulgaris and Atriplex nitens. Assuming maximum crop production which is to be obtained from sludge and waste substrates...
