Socioeconomic disparity in cardiovascular disease: a proteomic approach

چکیده

Abstract Background and purpose A large unexplained social disparity in the occurrence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) has been documented. The precise mechanism behind these disparities is largely unknown. Biomarkers have improved our understanding pathophysiology CVD. In this study we investigated differences 184 biomarkers linked to CVD, with aim underlying mechanisms socioeconomic CVD explore potential preventive measures. Methods We included 1144 participants from Copenhagen City Heart Study, age 55- 64 years, without known Socioeconomic position (SEP) was defined by educational length years. Blood samples were obtained analyzed two proteomics panels (CVD panel II III) a total protein biomarkers. Associations between SEP Pearson correlation coefficient linear regression multivariate adjustment for risk factors. Results Median 10 (IQR 7–11) Of measured 53 significantly correlated (p value <0.05) length, 17 positively 36 negatively (fig. 1). After adjusting gender, 41 after 14 remained associated length. Some strongest negative associations seen Leptin (LEP), Von Willebrand factor (vWF), Interleukin-6 (IL6), Fibroblast growth 21 (FGF21), Renin (REN) Growth/differentiation 15 (GDF_15) while positive Growth Hormone (GH), Receptor advanced glycosylation end products (RAGE) Myoglobin (MB) 2). Conclusion elevated levels multiple range indicate that pathways involving inflammation (IL6, LEP, RAGE), platelet-activation (vWF, IL6, blood pressure (REN, LEP), MAPK cascade (GDF_15, FGF21, REN, GH) weigh (LEP) regulation contribute gradient Further exploration needed identify possible candidates intervention. tumor markers: a proteomic approach

this article reviews the recently published data on the diagnosis of cancer with proteomics, including the major proteomics technologies and promising strategies for biomarker discovery and development.  most of the tumor markers are proteins that either numerically increase in response to the alteration of cancer conditions or are produced by cancer cells. however, they are natural compounds o...

Proteomic and Genomic Analysis of Cardiovascular Disease

Multichapter books that focus on methodology often turn out not to be fully satisfying in that most readers will find that only small parts of the books are pertinent to their interests. Although describing the methodology behind genomic and proteomic analysis is an important aspect of this book, it is nicely integrated with the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease; thus, many readers shou...

Individual socioeconomic factors conditioning cardiovascular disease risk.

BACKGROUND Our objective is to ascertain whether the socioeconomic situation of individuals has an influence on the cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk estimation. METHODS The subjects were part of VAMPAHICA study and had been recently diagnosed as hypertensive. The study subjects were seen in primary care centers, were aged between 15 and 75 years and have never been treated for hypertension (...

Cell Therapy in Cardiovascular Disease

Recently, cell therapy has sparked a revolution in ischemic heart disease that will in the future help clinicians to cure patients. Earlier investigations in animal models and clinical trials have suggested that positive paracrine effects such as neoangiogenesis and anti-apoptotic can improve myocardial function. In this regard the Royan cell therapy center designed a few trials in collaborat...
