Socio-economic impact of Soil Health Card scheme in the state of Andhra Pradesh

The study is an attempt to evaluate the effectiveness of soil health card (SHC) scheme in Andhra Pradesh (AP). Primary survey two selected districts AP state was carried out during 2020. Data set has 120 SHC adopters and 60 non-adopters from Chandragiri, Chittecherla blocks Chittoor Allur, Nellore district Pradesh. evaluated factors affecting adoption AP. Among them, number trainings attended, membership farmer organizations, timely extension service availability shown positive impact on SHC. However, distance input market, age, family size had significant negative Impact showed decline use nitrogen phosphorus nutrients by 20 kg/ha 19 kg/ ha, respectively, among adopters. Micronutrient usage increased 9.15 implies reduced excess fertilizers paddy cultivation area. It also recommends improve fertilizer savings farmers.
