Social Representations and Individual Representations: What is the Difference? And Why are Individual Representations Similar?

چکیده
This paper clarifies a long-standing ambiguity in the notion of social representations; it provides clear operational definition relation between representation and individual representation. definition, grounded theory sets, supports most current empirical investigation methods representations. In short, an object population is mathematical set representations individuals that have for this object. The components are used to describe set, intension sense term (in contrast with extension). Statistical techniques, as well content analysis can construct such by comparison extract commonalities, what classic investigations on indeed do. We then answer question: how come that, given culture, hold so similar one another?

compactifications and representations of transformation semigroups
this thesis deals essentially (but not from all aspects) with the extension of the notion of semigroup compactification and the construction of a general theory of semitopological nonaffine (affine) transformation semigroup compactifications. it determines those compactification which are universal with respect to some algebric or topological properties. as an application of the theory, it is i...

The paper deals with how constraints on conceptual representations evolve through processes of knowledge sharing. We describe pragmatic settings of referential communication and provide a model of how names, nouns and adjectives emerge through a process of abstraction. In situations of referential communication, the contrast class – the set that intended referents must be distinguished from – i...

Let $G$ be a tamely ramified reductive $p$-adic group. We study distinction of a class of irreducible admissible representations of $G$ by the group of fixed points $H$ of an involution of $G$. The representations correspond to $G$-conjugacy classes of pairs $(T,phi)$, where $T$ is a tamely ramified maximal torus of $G$ and $phi$ is a quasicharacter of $T$ whose restriction t...
متن کاملThe Representations and Positive Type Functions of Some Homogenous Spaces
‎For a homogeneous spaces ‎$‎G/H‎$‎, we show that the convolution on $L^1(G/H)$ is the same as convolution on $L^1(K)$, where $G$ is semidirect product of a closed subgroup $H$ and a normal subgroup $K $ of ‎$‎G‎$‎. ‎Also we prove that there exists a one to one correspondence between nondegenerat $ast$-representations of $L^1(G/H)$ and representations of ...
متن کاملSocial Representations and Social Identity 3 Groups and Social Representations
Doise (in press) has emphasised that researchers have focused empirical work on only one aspect of the theory of social representations. They have mainly been concerned either with describing the content of existing representations or they have been interested in examining how anchoring and objectification operate. They have left largely unexplored Moscovici’s hypotheses concerning the ways in ...
