چکیده

Easy to use multifunctional wearable devices, with no wires hanging around, are needed for real time health monitoring at user's comfort. Herein, an inductor-capacitor (LC) resonant tank-based wireless pressure sensor, screen-printed on electrospun Poly-L-lactide (PLLA) nanofibers-based flexible, biocompatible, and piezoelectric substrate is presented. The printed tank (resonant frequency of ≈13.56 MHz) consists a planar inductor connected in parallel interdigitated capacitor. capacitance, the capacitor present varies response applied pressure. As result, changes LC works as sensor. sensor exhibited high sensitivity 0.035 kP−1 1200 Hz kPa−1 operation excellent durability (over 1800 cycles). highest (1.75-fold higher) among sensors reported so far. Finally, presented integrated compression bandage demonstrate its potential online sub-bandage application optimum by bandage, together electroceutical arrangement facilitated PLLA substrate, can accelerate cell regeneration hence wound healing.

Encapsulation and Controlled Release of Heparin from Electrospun Poly(L-Lactide-co-ε-Caprolactone) Nanofibers.

Poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) nanofibers with heparin incorporated were successfully fabricated by coaxial electrospinning. The morphologies of electrospun nanofibers were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and a significant decrease in fiber diameter was observed with increasing heparin concentration. The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images indicated that coaxial elec...

Gas Sensors Based on Electrospun Nanofibers

Nanofibers fabricated via electrospinning have specific surface approximately one to two orders of the magnitude larger than flat films, making them excellent candidates for potential applications in sensors. This review is an attempt to give an overview on gas sensors using electrospun nanofibers comprising polyelectrolytes, conducting polymer composites, and semiconductors based on various se...

Imparting Superhydrophobicity to Biodegradable Poly(lactide-co-glycolide) Electrospun Meshes

The synthesis of a family of new poly(lactic acid-co-glycerol monostearate) (PLA-PGC18) copolymers and their use as biodegradable polymer dopants is reported to enhance the hydrophobicity of poly(lactic acid-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) nonwoven meshes. Solutions of PLGA are doped with PLA-PGC18 and electrospun to form meshes with micrometer-sized fibers. Fiber diameter, percent doping, and copolym...

Surface Functional Poly(lactic Acid) Electrospun Nanofibers for Biosensor Applications

In this work, biotin surface functionalized hydrophilic non-water-soluble biocompatible poly(lactic acid) (PLA) nanofibers are created for their potential use as biosensors. Varying concentrations of biotin (up to 18 weight total percent (wt %)) were incorporated into PLA fibers together with poly(lactic acid)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) (PLA-b-PEG) block polymers. While biotin provided surface...

A Wireless Passive LC Resonant Sensor Based on LTCC under High-Temperature/Pressure Environments

In this work, a wireless passive LC resonant sensor based on DuPont 951 ceramic is proposed and tested in a developed high-temperature/pressure complex environment. The test results show that the measured resonant frequency varies approximately linearly with the applied pressure; simultaneously, high temperature causes pressure signal drift and changes the response sensitivity. Through the theo...
