Slow-Burn Ammonium Perchlorate Propellants with Oxamide: Burn Rate Model, Testing, and Applications

چکیده
Low-thrust long-burn-time solid rocket motors may be useful as propulsion for small, fast, uncrewed aerial vehicles. These require a slow-burning propellant that can operate at unusually low chamber pressures (0.3–2 MPa). Slow-burn propellants were developed using ammonium perchlorate oxidizer and the burn rate suppressant oxamide. By varying amount of oxamide (from 0 to 20%), rates from 4 (at 1 MPa) achieved. The adjustable allows set similar serve many aircraft mission concepts. This work presents measurements both strand burner research motor), minimum pressure measurements, combustion chemical equilibrium simulations. A novel model oxamide’s effect on is also presented, it fits well experimental data. Finally, these data models are applied select an example low-thrust motor.

Startup Survival and a Balanced “Burn Rate”
How much to spend is a key managerial decision for entrepreneurs. Arguments favoring lean startups rely on the burden of rapid growth, reduced monitoring costs or the inefficient use of cash. Arguments favoring high “burn rates” rely on the early creation of economies of scale and complementary assets; and the motivation benefits of efficiency wages and experimentation. We argue that survival b...
متن کاملA systematized review of telemedicine applications in treating burn patients
Background: Telemedicine has been used in different fields of medicine in the past 20 years. The main advantages of this technology include saving costs, improving quality of care, and increasing access to specialists. This study aimed to review telemedicine applications in treating burn patients. Methods: In this systematized review study, related papers were searched using various d...
متن کاملA primary burn wound does not slow the contraction rate of an adjacent excisional wound.
The response to major burn injury includes systemic release of mediators that may have an effect on wound healing. The authors evaluated the effect of a burn injury on the contraction of an excisional wound adjacent to the burn, and the effect of plasma derived from burn-injured animals on the contraction of the fibroblast-populated collagen matrix (FPCM). Nine rats (90-100 days old) under anes...
متن کاملeview ssessment of burn depth and burn wound healing
The depth of a burn wound and/or its healing potential are the most important determinants of the therapeutic management and of the residual morbidity or scarring. Traditionally, burn surgeons divide burns into superficial which heal by rapid re-epithelialization with minimal scarring and deep burns requiring surgical therapy. Clinical assessment remains the most frequent technique to measure t...
