Total Widths And Slopes From Complex Regge Trajectories
Maximally complex Regge trajectories are introduced for which both Re α(s) and Im α(s) grow as s1−ǫ (ǫ small and positive). Our expression reduces to the standard real linear form as the imaginary part (proportional to ǫ) goes to zero. A scaling formula for the total widths emerges: ΓTOT/M → constant for large M, in very good agreement with data for mesons and baryons. The unitarity corrections...
متن کامل1 99 9 Meson Regge trajectories in relativistic quantum mechanics
A model potential for two-particle relativistic systems is investigated in the framework of Poincare-invariant quantum mechanics (or relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics). The potential considered allows to reduce the main integro-differential equation of Poincare-invariant quantum mechanics to the equation analogous to the radial equation and have analytical solution for relativistic bound system...
متن کاملBoundary slopes (nearly) bound cyclic slopes
Let rm and rM be the least and greatest finite boundary slopes of a hyperbolic knot K in S . We show that any cyclic surgery slopes of K must lie in the interval (rm − 1/2, rM + 1/2). AMS Classification 57M25; 57M27
متن کاملConvergence of trajectories in infinite horizon optimization
In this paper, we investigate the convergence of a sequence of minimizing trajectories in infinite horizon optimization problems. The convergence is considered in the sense of ideals and their particular case called the statistical convergence. The optimality is defined as a total cost over the infinite horizon.
متن کاملSlopes of Modular Forms
We survey the progress (or lack thereof!) that has been made on some questions about the p-adic slopes of modular forms that were raised by the first author in [Buz05], discuss strategies for making further progress, and examine other related questions.
