Sliding Mode Control of Three-Phase AC/DC Converters using Exponential Rate Reaching Law

Sliding mode control (SMC) becomes a common tool in designing robust nonlinear systems, due to its inherent characteristics such as insensitivity system uncertainties and fast dynamic response. Two modes are involved the SMC operation, namely reaching sliding mode. In mode, state is forced reach surface finite time. The major drawback of approach occurrence chattering which undesirable most applications. Generally, trade-off between reduction time must be considered conventional design. This paper proposes design with novel law called exponential rate (ERRL) reduce chattering, structure converter designed based on multi-input that applied three-phase AC/DC power converter. simulation experimental results show effectiveness proposed technique.
