Slagging Characteristics of a Steam Boiler Furnace with Flare Combustion of Solid Fuel When Switching to Composite Slurry Fuel

Two interconnected mathematical models have been developed to describe slagging of a steam boiler furnace at the macro and micro levels. The macro-level model is implemented in Ansys Fluent. Using fuel characteristics temperature furnace, this can predict ash formation on heat exchanger tubes when melting mineral part solid fossil exceeded. obtained values rates are used as initial data software implementation original Matlab microlevel model. Under conditions dynamic change thickness slag layer, evaluate transfer hot gas/slag layer/tube wall/water coolant system. results showed that switching coal-fired from slurry will improve stability uninterrupted operation due lower rate. combustion coal water slurries with petrochemicals compared coal–water characterized by higher maximum temperatures (13–38% higher) average growth rate deposits (5% lower), which reduces losses during flue gases 2%.
