SIZING ALGORITHM OF SOLAR-POWERED WATER PUMPING SYSTEM FOR DOMESTIC APPLICATION USING PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION

Due to some issues faced in rural areas such as increasing water demand, the limited reach of electricity, well scarcity fossil fuel and its negative impact on environment, renewable energy pumping systems emerges an excellent solution solve those problems. In this case, components system ought be optimized improve effectiveness system. This study was aimed at developing analyzing optimization model for sizing solar-powered domestic applications. The algorithm developed using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) MATLAB software. As a result optimization, summary main findings provided, which include optimal values number solar panels, tank capacity, pump power that minimize costs fulfill demand simultaneously. To investigate performance proposed algorithm, several case studies have been evaluated by varying total dynamic head (TDH) demands. summary, TDH value primarily affects PV panels power, leaving capacity unchanged. However, variations can all three parameters: power. Overall, applying PSO method system, cost could minimized, it would able cover storage supports certain application.
