SINTESIS DAN KARAKTERISASI WOLLASTONITE BERBASIS PREKUSOR BIOGENIK SILIKA ABU SEKAM PADI

The aim of this research is to make wollastonite from silica obtained rice husk ash and commercial calcium carbonate using the solids reaction method. DTA-TGA results show mass due evaporation H2O decomposition CaCO3 into CaO along with calcination temperature, in addition, DTA also identify formation β-CaSiO3 phase α-CaSiO3 phase. XRD were dominated by minor was indicated peak intensity which higher than second result FTIR through analysis Si-O-Ca functional group each sample. In SEM showed shape spheroidal particles (spherical) an average grain size 0.19 m, 0.35 m 0.68 for temperatures 900 oC, 1000 oC 1100 respectively. study indicate that manufacture basic ingredients has potential as alternative material wollastonite.
