چکیده

Abstract The FlowTriever Gen 1 System (Inari Medical, Irvine, California, United States) is a mechanical thrombectomy device designed to extract thrombus from the pulmonary arteries, but U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved for use in any artery or vein. From 2019 2020, three consecutive patients with extrapulmonary thrombosis involving inferior vena cava (IVC), renal, gonadal, femoropopliteal veins were treated device. large-bore aspiration catheter was partially successful removing IVC, renal lower extremity vein thrombus. Zero major minor adverse events occurred. Several technical therapeutic insights gained this preliminary experience.

Mechanical Thrombectomy of Acute Basilar Artery Occlusion: Single Center Experience

Acute basilar artery occlusion (BAO) is associated with a very poor outcome and has the highest mortality rate among intracranial large-vessel occlusions [1,2]. The main causes of acute BAOs are a atherothrombotic occlusion, due to local thrombosis on a stenosis, and embolic occlusions, due to cardiac or arterioarterial thromboembolism. Atherothrombotic occlusions account for 26-36% and embolic...

Mechanical Thrombectomy for Ischaemic Stroke: The First UK Case Series

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Endovascular treatments have the potential to accelerate reperfusion in acute ischaemic stroke with large vessel occlusion. In the UK only a few stroke centres offer this interventional option. The University Hospital of North Staffordshire (UHNS) has treated the largest number of cases in the UK. Results of the first 106 endovascular treatments (EVT) are presented here. ...
