Simultaneous treatment of phosphorus and fluoride wastewater using acid-modified iron-loaded electrode capacitive deionization: Preparation and performance

چکیده
Here, capacitive deionization technology (CDI) using modified activated carbon fiber felt (ACF) electrodes was proposed to provide a new strategy for the challenge of simultaneous phosphorus and fluoride wastewater treatment. The acid-modified iron-loaded ACF (A@Fe-ACF) obtained by modifying through two-step impregnation method. After modification, oxygen-containing functional groups on increased provided more adsorption sites. electron transfer efficiency A@Fe-ACF introducing Fe synergistically promoted fluorine. Results showed that removal efficiencies total (TP) fluorine (TF) in reached 89.4% 85% under optimal conditions (voltage intensity 1.5 V, pH 7, plate spacing 1 cm), while mechanism dominated chemical adsorption. Meanwhile, electrode has good recyclability stability after five cycles.

This paper describes the development, electrochemical characterization and utilization of novel modified molybdenum (VI) complex-carbon nanotube paste electrode for the electrocatalytic determination of ascorbic acid (AA). The electrochemical profile of the proposed modified electrode was analyzed by cyclic voltammetry (CV) that showed a shift of the oxidation peak potential of AA about 235 mV ...
متن کاملEffect of electrode thickness variation on operation of capacitive deionization
In capacitive deionization (CDI) water is desalinated by applying an electrical field between two porous electrodes placed on either side of a spacer channel that transports the aqueous solution. In this work we investigate the equilibrium salt adsorption and the dynamic development of the effluent salt concentration in time, both as function of spacer and electrode thicknesses. The electrode t...
