Simultaneous immobilization of cesium and strontium by crystalline zirconium phosphate

In the present study, simultaneous gross immobilization of radioactive Cs and Sr in zirconium phosphate was investigated by two methods. “dry method,” a mixture HZr2(PO4)3 with varying amounts CsNO3 Sr(NO3)2 heat-treated at 700 °C for 5 h to prepare + immobilized samples. At 0.3 0.15, leaching 1 mol·dm−3 HCl solution treated 160 24 were 2.9 × 10−4 g·m−2 3.9 g·m−2, respectively. “autoclave aqueous solutions containing 0.5 0.25 mol Sr(NO3)2, respectively, against (H3O)Zr2(PO4)3 thermal-treated 150–250 samples; observed 150 °C.
