Simulation of municipal solid waste gasification in fixed bed reactor

The objective of this work is simulating municipal solid waste gasification in fixed bed reactor. A comprehensive process model developed to simulate (MSW) reactor using an Aspen Plus simulation .To predict and analyze the pyrolysis updraft more veritably appropriately, numerical modeling based on Gibbs energy minimization was executed plus software v(9). Rstoic a block that can be used with unknown or unimportant reaction kinetic will describe drying section(moisture evaporated).The Ryield section, while Rgibbs for section individually .The proposed forecast target performance parameter including syngas composition, lower heating value carbon conversion rate under different conditions temperature , ratios. results indicate good agreement between data simulated obtained predicted optimum about approximately 750°C, best ratio air equivalent around 0.2 feed 200 kg /hr.
