Simulation and Economic Investigation of CO2 Separation from Gas Turbine Exhaust Gas by Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell with Exhaust Gas Recirculation and Selective Exhaust Gas Recirculation

The paper presents a simulation investigation of using molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) combined with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) or selective (SEGR) to reduce CO2 emission from the turbine in order cope climate change problem. EGR SEGR can be used concentrate low-concentration exhausts. concentration is then raised further by adding MCFC’s cathode. suggested gas–steam cycle system paired MCFC and collection without contrasted two novel systems integrated MCFC, EGR, capture (the reference system). thermal efficiency systems’ 56.08%, which 1.3% higher than system. cost avoided new will equal that MEA technique for if reduced 904.4 USD/m2.
