چکیده
Shot peening technology is used to improve the fatigue strength of materials and parts, one most effective surface engineering techniques prolong life. In this paper, according finite element simulation analysis shot peening, a randomly distributed multiple-shot model was established. The superimposed effects multiple projectile impact craters in are fully considered. velocity, angle coverage on residual stress field roughness were studied. alloy steel 20MnTiB, widely automotive industry, as raw material process specimens. tests different parameters carried out. test results verified correctness accuracy random distribution multiple-shot. shot-peening proposed paper allows more accurate effect helps quickly set correct parameters. This further investigates life, providing basis for rational development solutions.

Shot peening applies a residual compressive stress field (RCSF) on the surface of parts. It also shifts “crack nucleation sites” to sub-surface locations. A nondestructive method of measuring the stresses, Sin2ψ was utilized here and the stress values introduced to Ansys software. For this purpose, uniform stress in all directions was applied on the con rod. Loading on the rod in Ansys had thre...

Shot peening is widely used to improve fatigue life of the metal component. It can also induce the distortion of thin component, which is called peen forming and is widely used for shaping aircraft wing skin. Shot peening surface coverage, intensity and saturation are important shot peening control parameters and have greatly influence on shot peening and peen forming results. Due to the insuff...
متن کاملShot peening simulation using discrete and finite element methods
Modeling shot peening process is very complex as it involves the interaction of metallic surfaces with a large number of shots of very small diameter. Conventionally such problems are solved using the finite element software (such as ABAQUS) to predict the stresses and strains. However, the number of shots involved and the number of elements required in a real-life components for a 100% coverag...

Ultrasonic shot peening (USP) studied. Several parameters (arc heights, surface roughness topography and micro hardness) with different parameters were measured. The research proposes curvature of shot peened sheet increases with time decreasing, while increases with pin diameter increasing, and curvature reaches a saturation level after a specific electric current. An empirical model of the re...
