Elemental silicon (Si) is the second most abundant element in earth’s crust after oxygen, which mainly composed of silicates. Si not considered essential nutrient for plant growth and development, however, increasing evidences literature shows that this metalloid beneficial to plants, especially under different stress conditions. However, now comprises important place group comes with cobalt, sodium vanadium, many growers already include it their crop fertility programs.Silicon plays a crucial role reinforcing plant’s cell wall speculated enable plants increased resistance against pests diseases, tolerance drought heavy metals, as well both quality yields..The amount present soils varies type soils, climatic conditions, nature rocks minerals forming etc. The prevailing form soil solutions mono silicic acid Si(OH)4, equilibrium quartz (SiO2) concentrations solution are usually ranging from 14 20 mg l-1. crops like rice sugarcane known accumulator having special significance benefited nutrition.
