چکیده
Polysaccharide nanorods (chitin, cellulose) can be used as colloidal templates to form silica-based mesoporous materials by combining self-assembly and sol-gel chemistry. Chitin are chosen here for their properties, facile preparation from natural resources, because of the complexing properties free amino groups at surface in view further functionalization. Electrospinning ethanolic co-suspensions, containing chitin pore templates, siloxane oligomers silica precursors polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) spinning polymer, allows forming mats hybrid organic-inorganic fibers with diameters 200–300 nm range. The relative proportions each component adjusted meet specific characteristics (e.g. micro-/mesoporosity ratio). After calcination, present an open porosity studied TEM N2 volumetry. Elongated mesopores (100–200 long, 2–4 wide) created individual monocrystals nanorods. They highly oriented along fibers' axes orientational order parameters P2 > 0.95 volume contents φchitin* ≥ 0.2. Additional microporosity is provided removal PVP. Complementary viscosity measurements on initial co-suspensions allow discussing interactions between colloids possible impact materials’ textures observed. introduction a monomeric Ti4+ precursor leads isolated tetrahedral Ti units, distributed calcined porous possibly close pores surface. Nanocrystals (NCs) exhibit unique size-dependent optical, electronic, and chemical properties. The ability to adjust properties by controlling size, shape, composition, crystallinity, and structure has led to a wide range of potential applications for NCs in areas such as optics, electronics, catalysis, magnetic storage, and biological labeling. Furthermore, NC assembly into 2D and 3D superlatt...
متن کاملIron Oxide Silica Derived from Sol-Gel Synthesis
In this work we investigate the effect of iron oxide embedded in silica matrices as a function of Fe/Si molar ratio and sol pH. To achieve homogeneous dispersion of iron oxide particles, iron nitrate nonahydrate was dissolved in hydrogen peroxide and was mixed with tetraethyl orthosilicate and ethanol in a sol-gel synthesis method. Increasing the calcination temperature led to a reduction in su...
متن کاملCarbon–silica sol-gel derived nanomaterials
The preparation of sol-gel derived silica-based nanomaterials containing electrical conductive carbon fillers in an extensive composition range is described and their electrical properties are presented. Nanomaterials of carbon filler concentrations up to 60% (v/v) were obtained by dip coating or screen-printing from precursors of hydrolysed alkoxysilanes. Nanostructured morphology could be ide...
متن کاملElectrospun mullite fibers from the sol–gel precursor
Mullite fibers with diameters from 400 nm to 10 lm were fabricated from the sol–gel precursors using the electrospinning method. During the precursor synthesis, the hydrolysis was controlled to obtain highly viscous mullite sols. The viscous mullite sols were then diluted and mixed with a small amount of polyethylene oxide. Controlling the precursor rheology and spinning conditions, we obtained...
